It seems that getting the perfect haircut was very important to one resident of  St Elizabeth – Jamaica who is accused of stabbing his barber when he saw what had been done to his head.

The man, the police say, is now in custody, while the barber has been hospitalised.

According to THE STAR, on Saturday the 42-year-old veteran barber was conducting business as usual at his shop in Alligator Pond in the parish when the incident occurred.

According to Corporal Noel Johnson of the Area Three police, reports received are that on the day in question, the man had opened his shop for business about 9 a.m. and his first customer stepped in. The customer reportedly requested a haircut and asked for some markings to be placed on his head.

Dissatisfaction

When the barber was through, however, the man was not satisfied with the look and before the barber could make corrections, a knife was drawn and he was stabbed.

Another barber who works at the shop, Shotty Mark, said the incident unfolded in the blink of an eye.

“Wi jus’ open eno and di yute step in and seh him want a trim and some whole heap a mark-up mark-up … Likkle afta dat a nex yute come een and me start trim him … Mi only hear when di yute jump up and seh a wa dis yu put inna mi head a nuh suh mi want it,” Mark recalled.

“Di barber jus kiss him teeth and seh a wah happen to da yute yah and by mi seh ‘who dat’ mi see him a hol him belly an a seh ‘a wah do dah yute ya’ an den di yute run off.
