I am not so sure whats up between these two celebrities but the Nia Long vs Beyonce controversy is getting out of hand. Checked out twitter and all i could see was thousands of posts with the words NIA LONG included. Well at least this will help to boost Nia’s career (what ever she does??). I hope this soup cools down soon because some nasty threats and disses are being thrown by both parties. Here is an extract from a popular blog:

This issue sounds like its coming from way-back but i dont want to get involved because technology is my thing, check twitter for a little more info on this controversy if you are interested,

2. Mavado vs Vybz Kartel (Gully n Gaza) – the on-going Alliance/Gully vs. Portmore Empire/Gaza conflict is taken to court with both ‘Mavado’ and ‘Vybz Kartel’ being asked to take the stand. Various ‘witnesses’ are called including ‘Jeffrey Hype’ (Vybz Kartel’s road manager), ‘Julian Jones-Griffith’ (Mavado’s manager), Steve (Mavado’s brother) and a Japanese sound system operator.
3. The seven star General (L.A. Lewis) – the ’seven star general’ is brought to court by Lady Marsha on a variety of charges.

‘You’re all social hypocrites’ – Kartel writes letter lashing out at ‘Rampin’ Shop’ critics

Popular deejay Adidja ‘Vybz Kartel’ Palmer is defending his Rampin’ Shop and has sought to speak out against the critics of the song.

In a letter which he sent to THE STAR on the weekend, the deejay responded to an article which was done by Esther Tyson titled ‘Rampin’ Shop – musical poison’, which begged for a stop to be placed on “the promotion of such filth”.

Kartel begins the letter by dubbing those who view the song as poison ’social hypocrites’.

“This is a response to an article written by Esther Tyson, (principal of the Ardenne High School in St Andrew) and advocated by the rest of the social hypocrites who claim Rampin’ Shop is musical poison,” Kartel writes before expressing his views as to what is affecting the minds of the nation’s children.

Devastating impact

“The ‘devastating impact on the psyche of Jamaican children’ is not caused by daggerin’ songs but rather by socio-economic conditions which leave children without free education, with single-parent homes (or shacks), lack of social infrastructure in ghetto communities, unemployed and disfranchised young men with no basic skills who are caught up in the ‘gun culture’ cultivated by our politicians in the 1960s/’70s. These are all faults of the governments (PNP and JLP).”

Recently, a French soda maker has decided to release the soft drink , La Obama Soda, to pay homage to the nation’s first black President. The soda was created in an effort to cool their own disarrayed racial problems and to contribute financially to the cause of poverty.
